I have just added some new boxes, covered in vintage French fabrics, to my website today www.thepaintedroom.co.uk. The gorgeous vintage fabric was salvaged from a 19th century French quilt.
Originally old French fabric boxes were used to store handkerchiefs / gloves / lace etc but are equally useful today for storing trinkets, jewellery etc or for use as a sewing box.
You can see the boxes in my VINTAGE section. I will also be listing, over the next couple of days, some new boxes covered with my own printed linens as seen in the above photo.
